U3A Bentleigh needs you! This local University of the Third Age is busy planning new courses and activities for 2022 and beyond, to offer to retired and semi-retired members of the community.
Courses and activities
These courses and activities are designed to not only stimulate the mind and body, but to provide important and much-needed social engagement and interaction for a section of the community who often live on their own.
Life after COVID
After the disruption of COVID during the past two years, we are looking forward to a sense of normality and a period of expansion of our services to the community.
To this end we are looking for anyone who is willing to contribute to the courses and programme by becoming a volunteer tutor, and sharing your hobbies, skills or passions with others. No qualifications are necessary – just the desire to share what you know with others who are also interested in your subject area. Short courses, long courses or even one-day talks – everything is welcome.
Great facilities
The U3A Bentleigh campus itself has wonderful facilities – fully-equipped classrooms, a digital learning centre called The Hub, art and craft rooms, gymnasium, well-equipped audiovisual facilities, and a professional Zoom license for remote learning.
