Hi All

In a very close final round, Peter managed to get 8 right somehow (considering he just ranked his teams and did his selections based on them).

After all the games this season, it came down to the second and third last games to decide this year’s competition winner.

In the end, Don Robbie won the first prize of next year’s U3A membership by 1, holding off Dave, who wins the $25 U3A voucher second prize, with Basil finishing third, and he was very unlucky with the Port v Essendon game as it looked like the Bombers had it won!

It was actually very close overall with quite a few tipsters not that far away!

Now for the Wooden Spoon! Warren was desperate to win it, but Pauline had other ideas, so she retains her Spoon from last year.

Some interesting things! (wonders will never cease)

Peter selected his teams by ranking them in order of preference for the whole year! He had the lowest overall margin for the year, by picking 14 points each week! He had the most no. of times where he had the most or equal most no. of tips for a week (8 times)

No one tipped 9 winners more than twice this year.

No donuts (no winners in a round in rounds of 6 or more games).

Julie Robbie won the Streak with a massive 39 in a row, which was very high in the overall website rankings, and she wins the $20 U3A voucher.

I really do enjoy running this tipping competition and hope everyone enjoyed being part of it. Thanks to all participants, and I would love to see you all back next year, along with a few more people.
